History is a statement of the origins and roots of a person, people, idea, or event, etc., and in this sense, studying it with precision, care, rooting, analysis, seriousness, and objectivity is a must in order for there to be a sound and correct understanding of past and contemporary realities, and the political, economic, and social phenomena that have occurred and whose effects are still ongoing. extended in the present.

Studying history is therefore a social and humanitarian duty, because the human being in his society knows the mistakes of the past and does not repeat them, and knows the reasons for the future and takes them, thus avoiding the loss caused by ignorance, and keeping him away from the destruction into which the ignorant person descends.

Thus, we find that man is historical in the sense that man remembers all of human and individual history and interacts with it. Therefore, the brilliant personalities and conscious peoples paid close attention to history, being aware of the facts that were explained previously.

Napoleon Bonaparte said: “Whoever wants to be immortalized by history should study history,” and Sheikh Muhammad Abduh said: “Reading history is one of the religious and social duties, so it must be accomplished.” In what each of them said, they expressed the hidden truth in Arab societies.

Without knowledge of history Integrated, conscious knowledge: A person’s faith in his society is shaken, he deviates, and he falls into wrong belief, and he succumbs to events whose causes he does not know.

History is also a scientific commitment, because ignorance of the causes and facts that arise from it and the repercussions that arise from it robs the scientific mind, and falls into myths and delusions, so man descends to the level of the ordinary, where he is without reason or knowledge.

The mind is the highest and finest universal wish and the highest aspirations of humanity, and through it man comes to know the divine, cosmic and human truths with pure, sacred knowledge, which some believe is the only way to salvation for human societies. Reason is the path to knowledge, and this and that cannot happen except by tracing the causes and studying them in history. Everything in the lives of peoples and human societies.
