The Ministry of Interior announced the execution of a well-executed security operation in the Qudsaya area of rural Damascus, in cooperation between the Internal Security Commands of Rural Damascus and Daraa. The operation resulted in the dismantling of a network involved in smuggling weapons to outlaw groups and cells linked to ISIS.

The Ministry quoted Brigadier General Ahmed al-Dalati, the Internal Security Commander of Rural Damascus, as saying that the operation followed precise intelligence regarding suspicious activity at a farm. The site was surrounded and successfully raided.

He added that security forces seized FPV-type suicide drones with their complete equipment, along with a large quantity of TNT explosive, estimated at approximately 1.5 tons, and anti-personnel improvised explosive devices (IEDs) ready for use.

Al-Dalati confirmed that all seized items were confiscated and the detainees were referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the investigations and take legal action against them.
